The Air Jordan 13 Bred was first released in 1997 and was given its first retro refresh in 2004. However, th Air Jordan 13 Retro Bred 2013 iteration is perhaps the most special yet, strengthening the link between a street sneaker and Michael Jordan’s legacy on the courts. The entire design is an artistic interpretation of the NBA legend’s famous nickname: ‘Black Cat.’ As a result, the soles are moulded to look like panther paws, while the distinctive holograms at the heel and outsole represent a panther's eyes. Other Michael Jordan-inspired touches included a dimpled upper, which is famed designer Tinker Hatfield’s subtle nod towards Jordan’s love of golf.
